Proud Publishers Reap Dozen Distinguished Achievement Award Nominations!
Huntington Beach, CA, March 28, 2008 -- This week, The Association of Educational Publishers announced the 2008 list of finalists, which are vying for the coveted Distinguished Achievement Award. Eight products from Teacher Created Materials covering all content areas made the list while Shell Education's list of finalists includes four potential winners.
Teacher Created Materials (TCM), who has won several awards in the past including the Distinguished Achievement Award and Golden Lamp Award among others, is no stranger to producing award-winning products. This year's list of finalists are all in the curriculum package category and include reading and fluency resources such as Building Vocabulary from Word Roots, and Exploring Nonfiction: A Differentiated Content-Area Reading Program. Within the social studies category, two products from the Exploring History through Primary Sources series were nominated including Communities Around the World and Elections as well as Primary Source Readers: The 20th Century. Capping off TCM's product hopefuls are Active Algebra: Algebra Readiness, Science Readers, the latest addition to the TechTools Resource Kit series.
