Exploring Nonfiction Secondary: Reading in the Content Areas

Guide students on a journey through the content areas of science, social studies, language arts, and mathematics as you teach them the skills and strategies they need to comprehend nonfiction text.

This kit provides standards-based, high-interest informational text in a variety of text complexities and content areas to teach students nonfiction reading skills and strategies. Students will have the opportunity to build academic vocabulary and develop fluency through fluency activities and guided practice. The differentiated nonfiction text allows teachers to choose the reading level that best meets the needs of all students for each lesson.
