Content-Area Texts

• High-interest, content-area books provide students with a rich variety of text structures and academic vocabulary in both English and Spanish to support a balanced literacy framework.
• Build literacy skills and content-area knowledge with 19-27 high interest, leveled readers, 6 copies of each title.
• Feature Reader's Theater scripts with differentiated roles so teachers can assign roles based on student's reading levels, which allows all students to participate in the same activity.

Student Engagement

• Students will see themselves in the materials they are studying which affirms and validates their cultural behaviors and backgrounds.
• Exposure to fiction and informational texts nurtures tolerance, compassion, acceptance and kindness.
